The Re-enactment Society
The Reenactment Society is scheduled around the MS Blues Trail and tourist visiting throughout the state as we coincide our events to link into festivals, family reunions, class reunions, vacationers, cultural arts, heritage events etc. The Reenactment Society will work exclusively with the Rev. George Lee Museums of American and African American History and Heritage. Beginning with the Fannie Lou Hamer Civil Rights Museum, the Pinetop Perkins Blues Museum and its Heritage Consortium, schools, Community Colleges, Universities, Cultural Arts and Heritage Programs, etc. Stories will be told by the Old Story Tellers, (The Mother of the Blues,Lula “The Old Story Teller,' and In the Spirit of Fannie Lou.) The Mother of the Blues will tell stories about the lives and conditions behind the blues tourist attraction. Our Goal is to travel Highway 49 North to Clarksdale, Tunica, Memphis or South on Highway 49 to Indianola, Jackson, Yazoo, Vicksburg, Gulf Coast and other major tourist destinations.
